In ten years time, please ponder about these:
1. It is not how big (grand) you hold your wedding! Ten years from now, most
people will not ask you how grand your wedding celebration was held but they will
ask you how is your marriage with your spouse and how many children you have?
2. It is not how big you organize your children's birthday parties! Ten years from
now, your children will not ask you how grand their birthday parties were but they
will ask you how often you cared or neglected them?
3. It is not how big (much) you spend on decorating (renovating) your home! Ten
years from now, your neighbours will not ask you how much you spend on your
home but they will ask you how come you are not always at home?
4. It is not how big you spend on your graduation day! Ten years from now, your
fellow graduates will not ask you how much you spend on your graduation day but
they will ask you what job are you doing now?
5. It is not how big your donation to a charity! Ten years from now, the charity you
donated will not ask you how much you had donated but they will ask you if you
can do it again?
6. It is not how big you give your wife! Ten years from now, your wife will not ask
you how much you had spent on her but she will ask you how much "quality" time
you spend with her?
7. It is not how big (big) your car was! Ten years from now, you colleagues will
not ask you how big and powerful your car was but they will ask you "are you still
keeping that old junk"?
8. It is not how big (a sacrifice) you made! Ten years from now, your boss will not
ask how big a sacrifice you had made for the company but your boss will ask how
much you will cost him (pension, medical benefits etc)..?
9. It is not how big (major / many?) you had sinned! Ten years from now, you will
not ask yourself how big your sins were but ask this have I REPENT now!! ?
(insya'allah)
10. It is not how big (the amount and or the time) you spend on ALLAH SWT!! In
life hereafter, Allah Ta'ala will not ask or look at the amount (quantity) you spent
or how big (important) a person you were but Allah Ta'ala will ask your true niat
(intention).......... Is it really for Allah Ta'ala?
Dear brothers and sisters, Allah Ta'ala loves the Ibaadah of the servants which is
"little" but everlasting with a "dash" of sincerity...so the question is not on
quantity but the quality. Islam's emphasis on quality is understandable as we are
the best ummah so before you decide to proceed on anything please bear this in
mind......."IT IS NOT ABOUT BIG!"...
p/s: let think together about the statements..
